Mission & Vision Statement

Mission: The LaVergne High School Library Media Center is committed to serving the educational, cultural, and social needs of our school community. Our mission is to provide a safe space where learners have equitable access to informational and recreational resources. Through collaboration with students, teachers, and community members, the LaVergne High School Library Media Center is a place where everyone can explore, learn, and create through reading, research, and access to diverse technologies.  

Vision:  The vision of the LaVergne High School Library Media Center is to be a welcoming hub of learning and community support that empowers students to use their skills to transform the world. The media center will provide students the opportunity and resources to pursue both academic and personal interests and to be critical thinkers, effective and ethical consumers of information, and lifelong readers.
