Who: Students identified as needing additional assistance with Reading
Intent: Help students develop better reading skills so they may read with competence, confidence, and comprehension.
Goal: Strengthen reading skills to be able to read and respond critically, evaluate sources, and draw supportable conclusions.
Emphasis: Development and utilization of vocabulary, comprehension, and self-monitoring and reflection of tasks
Our daily format
Whole group mini lesson
Rotations: 1. Sustained Silent Reading and Response
2. Small Group Instruction with teacher
3. Independent/group work
