About Me

I am a 27 year veteran teacher, 26 of those years here at LaVergne High School. I am a graduate of Angelo State University where I majored in History. I also hold graduate degrees from Middle Tennessee State University, a Master of Education degree in which I focused on teaching History in the secondary schools and a Specialist in Education degree with a focus on teaching history in dual enrollment classes and on the college level. In total I obtained 30 hours of undergraduate studies in history and another 42 at the graduate level. My research fields are in the history of religion and of esoteric thought.

My experience in Spanish comes from two years of missionary work in Colombia and nine hours of Bachelor's level Spanish for a college minor.

I enjoy reading fiction as well. My favorite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien and Deborah Harkness.
