The main emphasis of the LaVergne High School Band program is MUSICIANSHIP. The goal of each student is to learn to play his or her instrument as well as possible, making the band a quality, life enriching, and aesthetic experience. Additionally, LaVergne High School band students possess the qualities of self-discipline and citizenship, making them among the best and brightest in our school.

Mission Statement

The mission of the LaVergne High School Band Program is:

  • To encourage musical growth in students through standards-based instruction
  • To encourage students’ social growth through musical activities
  • To encourage and promote music in the culture of the school and the community
  • To reinforce through musical preparation and performance the skills and behaviors which lead to success in music, school, and life.
