Computer Science

Computer Science is a new graduation requirement for incoming Freshman for the 2024 - 2025 school year. (Link to class syllabus.)

The Introduction to Computer Science Fundamentals in Python will cover the basics of the Python programming language, with a special emphasis on artificial intelligence applications and data analysis.

A laptop will be required to complete all coursework, projects, and exams. The school has laptops to loan the students for school purposes.

Course Goals:

Gain understanding of foundational concepts:
- Computational thinking
- Python programming language
- Data analysis & visualization techniques
- AI applications and computer science impacts on society

Parent/Guardian please complete the form via the link to acknowledge the requirement for a student laptop. This is a bonus grade for your student.

We use Kira Learning for our daily classwork. The link to this is in Schoology.
