Administration News & Updates 5/27/20 - Graduation Plan

Good Evening LHS Family!

On behalf of the LHS Administration, we would like to share with you our plans for the Class of 2020 graduation ceremony.  We have put a lot of time and thought into this plan in order to make sure our seniors have the celebration they deserve while also adhering to CDC guidelines and doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our faculty, staff, students, and community members.  We will hold our graduation ceremony on June 28th at 3:00pm in the football stadium as an entire class.  Each senior will receive 4 tickets for family members to attend, as well as 1 parking pass for parking on campus.  All on-campus parking that day will require a parking pass.  Seniors will have a separate parking plan, and thus the parking pass is for the family members utilizing their 4 tickets.  Seniors will receive their 4 tickets and parking pass at graduation practice.  The date and time for graduation practice is to be determined and will be announced as soon as we have it.

We do realize that the weather may prevent us from holding our ceremony outside, and thus we have a secondary plan in case that happens.  The LHS Administration will monitor the weather closely and, if a problem were to arise, would announce late Saturday, June 27th, or early Sunday, June 28th, that our graduation will be moved inside.  If this were to happen, we would hold four separate graduations by alphabet at the following times: 1:00pm students with the last name A-E, 3:00pm students with the last name F-L, 5:00pm students with the last name M-R, and 7:00pm students with the last name S-Z.  Again, this is a secondary plan in the case that weather issues arise.  We wanted to make you aware of this secondary plan so that you can keep it in mind.

We will continue to keep you updated on the graduation practice date and any other pertinent information throughout the coming weeks.  Although we send our important messages through school messenger, we highly suggest that you follow us on Twitter @LHSintheNews as that is a quick and easy way for us to disseminate information and is often the first place we post items.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us at any time!  We look forward to celebrating this momentous occasion with everyone!  Remember, it is ALWAYS a GREAT day to be a Wolverine!

Sincerely,

The LHS Administration
