Robert Engle was a Lavergne High School Graduate. He was in our JROTC program with LTC Shirley and I. He was a great, kind and softhearted student. He was like a gentle giant.

I just remember seeing people get down on the floor and hearing pop pop pop I turned to Caleb to ask okay what's the game plan and he was running towards the door is stuck his arm out with weapon and I remember pushing my hand out and then that's when I went off he saved all of our life we think the boy was coming back with his guns and he was going to kill everyone of us and and Caleb stopped when he was called a hero after the event so he immediately told them he was not a hero I just react just felt like a hand was just right by me just push and saying go go for it he's always had a special place in people's hearts it's always felt like up just an extended family and I'm very glad to be a part of it Robert is being called a hero because of the actions that he did In the Heat of the Moment he is my hero from that day something he's done off jump in you never know just how close we got that day tub not being here we just don't take every day for granted can't really ask for much more than more each other I call him my Superman real proud
