Instructions for Students During Quarantine

Attached are instructions for downloading and using the Schoology app to access class information. You may also use the tutorial video below to learn more about using Schoology.

Department Office Hours 
 
  • All LHS Teachers will offer “live” office hours via Zoom 2 times per week for a minimum of 15 minutes per each session.
  • Office hours will allow students an opportunity to ask questions, gain clarity on lesson objectives and assignments, etc.

 

Math: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 11:36 to 11:51

English: Wednesdays & Fridays, 10:45 to 11:00

History: Mondays & Wednesdays, 1:50 to 2:05

Science: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 1:00 to 1:15

Foreign Language: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:23 to 10:11

Fine Arts: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:45 to 9:00

Hyper: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 2:42 to 2:57

CTE: TBD by each CTE teacher—Students should see individual Schoology pages

Student Quarantined

 

Regardless of the number of students who are present in class, these expectations are to be used for any students quarantined.

District Messaging

There is no dual-modality of instruction required.

Instruction should continue as planned.  Asynchronous work should be provided to student using Schoology or TEAMS.

Instructional Expectations

  1. Teacher websites must include directions and links to direct students to Schoology.
  2. Teacher Schoology pages must include a weekly agenda, daily assignments/resources/materials, office hours, announcements, due dates, and links as appropriate.
  3.  Teacher Schoology pages must be updated with the aforementioned items each week by Monday morning at 8:00 a.m.
  4. Teachers may choose to conduct live lessons or post recorded videos of lessons as appropriate; however, it is not required.

District Office Hours

*District Office Hours: Students will register for Office Hours by Instructional Specialists using a Forms link.

English= Monday (3:00-4:00)/ Wed. (2:00-3:00)            Science= Tuesday (3:00-4:00)/ Thursday (9:00-10:00)

Math= Tuesday (9:00-10:00)/ Thurs. (3:00-4:00)           Social Studies= Wed. (3:00-4:00)/ Friday (8:00-9:00)

Expectations for Students

1.       First, check teacher website for proper platform.

2.       Find assignments and directions on platform for instruction.

3.       Next, refer to specific school schedules for content support and assigned office hours.

4.       After checking with teacher and school support, Central Office Specialists will provide additional support for each of the four content areas.  Office hours will be provided by content specialists twice a week.

Completed Work from Quarantined Students

1.       Turn in asynchronous work upon return to school unless assignments were submitted via the online platform assigned by the teacher.

2.       Asynchronous work is NOT optional.  The district make-up policy will apply.

Devices

If a student has access to personal devices, those will be utilized.  If a student does not have access to a device at home, schools will distribute devices to students upon request.
