LaVergne High School is excited to invite students and their families to ACT and College Night on Tuesday, September 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. in the LHS Lecture Hall in the new building.
This informative event will help parents and guardians better support their students as they prepare for the ACT and begin planning for college and career success after high school. Attendees will receive valuable information about the ACT, including preparation strategies, testing resources, and ways families can help students achieve their goals.
As a special benefit, families who attend will receive a free copy of "The ACT Prep Guide" as well as a College4TN NEXT Guide, a valuable resource that helps students and families understand the steps involved in planning, applying, and preparing for college.
Families will also hear from Ms. Bakari, who will provide information about the Motlow Early College Program offered exclusively at LHS and explain how students can earn college credit while still in high school, giving them a head start on their postsecondary education.
In addition to the presentation, families will have the opportunity to explore college and career opportunities through informational booths hosted by representatives from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and Motlow State Community College.
This event offers an excellent opportunity for students and parents to ask questions, learn about college pathways, explore dual enrollment and early college options, and gather resources to support future academic success.
All LaVergne High School students must attend with a parent or guardian in order to receive the free resources.
Click HERE to RSVP and reserve your spot. We look forward to partnering with our families as we help students prepare for college, career opportunities, and success beyond graduation!
