Tony Rutland comes to LaVergne High School after serving two years as an assistant coach at Stewarts Creek High School. Prior to SCHS, Rutland was the Head coach at Hampton Christian Academy. There he was able to lead HC to their first conference title in over 20 years. Coach Rutland played college basketball at Wake Forest University and is second to Tim Duncan in wins. He will bring a lot of college and professional basketball experience to the program. "Marathon and not a Sprint"

Asst. Coach / Head JV: Justin Bather
Justin Bather is starting his 3rd year as an assistant coach for the Wolverines. Bather is very familiar with LHS, as he was a member of the '07 - '08 District Championship team. Bather was a two-sport star at LHS between basketball and football. Bather went on to play football at Tennessee State University after graduation from LHS.
